Purchased a Toshiba laptop w/ no printer. I have a newer HP printer connected to my old desktop. I use the same server (AOL),screen name, etc. on both. Can you please send me instructions as to how to access the printer via my laptop?

OS: Windows XP

Already Tried:
nothing/ very novice level. The desktop is a windows98, the laptop is Windows XP

I really don't want to have the printer physically connected to the laptop....I just want to see if I can 'remotely' press print on the LT and have it go thru the DT to the HP printer, ,which is in a far back room.

             Ok this is workable for ya. If you want to print to a PC/Printer and not be connected than what you need to do is this, As per the link:

Thankx for the Boston website but another problem I have is that my very old desktop is not working, I can only turn it on but not much more than that. I need to access it all via the new laptop and I am going to try to go thru the Tosiba channels first.
Should have done that in the 1st place.
