Windows 2003 scren shots wont work for alot of functions with windows 2000. There is a significant amount of functionaility in 2003 that is not in 200.

Some basic elements are the same.

To capture a screen shot of the active window use CT-ALT-SHFT-PRTSCRN

Then open up paint, and go to EDIT and PASTE.

I hope that helps

Reply to Flagbridge-IT's Post: I tried the control, shift, and alt keys at once but could not get to a printscreen to come up to use. There fore I had nothing to copy and paste and the paintbrush just worked on the document page itself and it did not do anything to copy the area I wanted to print like forming a shadow over the area that I wanted to try to paste to my notepad and then to post within my document.

No you need to press the PRT-SCRN button which is over the number pad

You need to press those four keys at once.

Then you can paste

Reply to Flagbridge-IT's Post: Thank you for your help, I got the whole thing in, although I only wanted a portion of it, so now I have to figure out how to crop the shot, since I was trying to get only a portion of the entire screen. Anyway, I did not know how to any of it at all to begin with, so you have helped. I will post the accept to make sure you get paid. Thank you.
