I opened an Appleworks document. When I went to print it, I accidentally loosened a cable from my Mac and the Mac shut down. When I restarted it, a dialog box opened which said "Recovering file Christmas labels ''06. This file was not closed properly and a newer version is available. Open the newer version?"   I could choose one of 3 options: cancel, last saved, auto saved, but the dialog box was unresponsive, so I could not open the doc. at all.    How can I open this doc or get the dialog box to respond?

Optional Information:
OS: Mac OS X; Browser: IE

Already Tried:
making a copy, sneaking into it another way. . .

I don't know. What keys should I use to maneuver with the keyboard?

Hitting the tab key did not work. I should tell you also there is no way to get rid of this dialog box and I have to force quit, Mac will not shut down by command. Tried Ctrl-Alt-Delete, etc.

Reply to Krish's Post: I ran the repair which corrected several problems but the dialog box still opens, is unresponsive and I can't get into the Appleworks file. What would you suggest next?
