My acer laptop series 3000 has stopped connecting to ...

My acer laptop series 3000 has stopped connecting to the internet through the wireless modem after I had to hav//e the charging socket replaced. How can I make it work again

OS: Windows XP; Browser: Firefox

Already Tried:
Going to my network places. Also pressing the button on the front that is usually flashing I think and when you press it it comes up with no device. But that is not happening at the moment.

Hi, great reply thank you. Though at the moment the internet is still not working. All the icons are back on the tool bar except for the picture of the computer with the signal output thing. Also when I hover over the other picture of a computer it says Local Area Connection. A network cable is unplugged. Is it something internal do you think??

it sounds like a config thing, go ahead and try the restore.

But I am not ready to say it isn't possibility being internal due to the repair.
