I have Windows Vista. Can you help me? When I try to print anything from the internet, including email, all I get are symbols and numbers. I have downloaded drivers, spent hours on the phone with people who could not help me! I am so discouraged. I have HP Pavilion, Lexmark x5435 printer (USB) and, of course, Vista. What can I do?

Already Tried:
I have bought a Vista certified printer, downloaded drivers from Lexmark and Microsoft. I have spoken to my server Earthlink, Lexmark and spent a whole Saturday trying to get answers. Nobody has been able to help me. Very frustrating. I still only get symbols and numbers when I print anything from internet including email. I get perfect printing from my Works program.

I think I have dealt with this exact problem before. Can you give me an example of a line or two of the 'symbols' that you see on your printouts, so I can be sure it's the same problem? I can then help you fix this :)

I imagine you have recently uninstalled AOL, or still have it installed. Can you try following this guide here, and changing your default browser to be Internet Explorer:

Once changed, restart, and try printing again :)
