Reply to spiritpresent's Post: well, it is quite complicated. I originally just wanted to add an external drive--my usb is 1.1 so I bought a 4 port usb 2.0 hub with a pcmcia card---I could never get the stupid thing to assign it a drive letter even after weeks of trying--so now I want to replace my old 60gb hard drive with a 120 gb notebook hard drive which I was told would fit into my hp pavilion ze4805us with no problem. However, HP does not provide instructions for how to get the old one out and the old one, at least what I can see of it looks nothing like the new one I was sent. Also I bought a EZ gigII thing that is supposed to copy the old hard drive onto the new one--but it inserts into the pcmcia slot and the stupid computer refuses to recognize it or assign it a drive letter. I am about ready to throw the whole thing into the junk pile except I've already gone through 2 other notebooks cause they get outdated so fast.
