i'm using the wireless network, and i think it just connects me to a free public network somewhere around my house, 'cause i havent applied for any network or had an wireless router yet. so what should i do if i want to connect to the internet when i carry my laptop outside the house?
someone in this service told me that, "someone has left their wireless router unsecured, which means yours in also unsecured if you can connect to theirs. . I think you just need to set up another access point, ...." but they werent sure about this.

i think it is my wireless card, which helps me connect to available networks. so, that means my connection pretty much depends on others' network. is that right? if they decided to lock their network then there'd be no way i can connect to the internet again?
and my laptop's using the network named "default" , which is the only one on the list remains unsecure (i saw no padlocks with it)i dont think it is mine, 'cause i havent got any wireless routers.
what should i do? get a wireless router? can u suggest any other ways, so that i can be sure that my connection wont be disconnected any time?

Yes, A wireless router on your Internet connection would work fine. *Note that you need internet to your house first*

Let me know if you need anything else.
