When establishing relationships within Access - the fields must be the same. In other words - the data type for the Primary key in one record - must match the data type in another record. Example: The product code in the products table (the primary key) matches the product code in the order details table. They are both "long integer". The data type has to be the same. Then you would open up the relationships board through the menu, and here you can define your relationship by clicking the show table button - (If you check out the different buttons - a little tool tip will appear and tell you when you are on the right one) then addidng the tables for the relationship - then dragging the field in one table to the corresponding filed in another.

What version of Access do you have - 2003 - 2007?
