windows xp mce 2005 media center issues

I'm having issues with the combination of windows xp mce 2005 and a network hard drive with music files. My music files play and my album details are fine in WMP10, but I cannot get them to play or get any album detail in the media center program. Each album is represented by an icon that says unknown album, and the do not contain any songs.

Already Tried:
downloaded new version of wmp, didn't work.
