Yes.
An edited version is much simpler. Think video podcast.
This allows members to download and watch your video file in a player (Winamp, Windows Media Player, RealAudio, etc)

1. You will need a recording device. Preferably digital. This will create the video file. Longer performances will create very large file which are difficult to download and store. Therefore it is recommended to break-up longer performances in 10 - 20 minute segments (Part 1, Part 2, etc)

2. You will need to edit the video file with a video editing program (Sony Vegas, Macromedia Director, Microsoft Movie Maker, etc). Each should allow you to export your edited file into a format. The more expensive programs allow you to choose from more formats. This will be important because exporting to an unpopular file will prevent most of you members from being able to view. Generally because all members will not use the same player to view the performance.

3. After you are satisfied with final cut of the video, contact your ISP or web hosting company and look at your storage/bandwidth options for your website. Depending on your account you will be allocated X amount of each. If you plan to add more videos in the future you will likely need more storage. If you have many members who will watch, you will definitely need more bandwidth. This is an added cost.
If your performances are very popular (a good thing) then you can upgrade your account. You can also generate revenue by selling advertisement space on your website or your video.

Finally once you FTP upload the file(s) to your ISP or web hosting company, simply provide a link to the file(s) for downloading.
