Hi,
Here are the steps to copy your address book from your desktop computer to your laptop.
1- On your desktop computer open Thunderbird and click Tools > Address Book
2- In the Address Book window click Tools > Export
3- Type a name and choose to save in to your Desktop (make sure to save it as LDIF type file)
4- Close Thunderbird, go to your Desktop and copy that LDIF file to a USB flash drive or a cd
5- Put that flash drive or cd in the laptop and copy the LDIF file to Desktop on you laptop computer.
6 Open Thunderbird on your laptop, click Tools > Address Book
7- In the Address Book window click Tools > Import > Address Book > Text File (LDIF, ....etc), and navigate to your Desktop and select that LDIF file.
That's it.
