My browser was IE; I installed Firefox and declared it default; then downloaded TimesSelect toolbar from NY Times. It installed on IE. Can't transfer. Please help (Windows XP).

Optional Information:
OS: Windows XP; Browser: Firefox

Already Tried:
Contacting Firefox by email; emailing NYTimes to find out if I overlooked something (no).

Hi,
I checked with NYTimes and there toolbar/news info is only available to IE. If you ckick on IE and only IE does it come up? You may want to download again. Firefox is NOT compliant. I use Forefox myself but not all apps work. Use IE for this. If this placed a Icon on the desktop than right click the icon and go to properties. Click the program to use (IE this case) and press accept. This should now work.
If this helps please click accept and a bonus and good feedback is always welcome.
Thanks
Andy

Dear Andy,
Many thanks for your help. I still don't quite understand because the Times indicated that they could install on Firefox, but there was no place for me to check that, so I guess you're right. Yes, to access the toolbar I have to click on IE.
Oh, well.
Thanks again.
