I need to integrate data from 2 separate databases. If one spreadsheet has data in one format and the other has data in another format and I need them to come together. I have seen this done with VLookup. I think it might work with MATCH, but I don't know how to do either one. HELP!

Optional Information:
OS: Windows XP; Browser: IE

I'm just lost since I know it can be done in VLookup, but I do not know how to use that function

Hello, Customer (name blocked for privacy).

I gather you are using Excel as a database?

If this is a question of mere format, you need only change the format of the cells. So I suspect it's a little more complicated than that. Could you give me examples of the format you want to change and the format you want to change TO?

I have one excel database with Last name, first name and then multiple lines of info (50,00 to be more correct)Each person in the second spreadsheet has many multiple entries in the first spreadsheet that needs to match to.

Then another spreadsheet with person's name and columns whether contractor or FTE and date of hire, etc. (approximately 200 lines)
I want to have both in a single spreadsheet so I can run pivots onthe total info.

Is it possible to send you 2 excel spreadsheets to show you?
