Hi Customer (name blocked for privacy),

I see that you have already tried Picasa and Corel Snapfire. These programs probably do not have the features necessary to fix the problem and you will need to use software such as Photoshop. If you want a free alternative to Photoshop, I suggest using GIMPShop (from http://gimpshopdotnet.blogspot.com/).

The website at http://www.photoshopsupport.com/tutorials/jennifer/fix-underexposed.html has instructions for how to fix the under-exposed pictures with Photoshop. Most Photoshop instructions work and are easy to follow in GIMPShop.
