why dosent my harddrive start up? i had a west. dig one replaced a year ago for the same problem--also replaced with same brand-- i can get it to start sometimes by laying tower on its side-- once it is up everything is running perfect
   thank-you

Reply to Jeffrey Flaker's Post: yes- it dosent spin-its a compaq. the green light on the left goes on but it just clicks when the right light lites not booting-the person that replaced my last one said the had some bad hard drives-west digital-but he put another west dig. in-they said they fixed the problem-im thinking it could be something else-
if i tilt or lay on its side i can get it up--
it runs great otherwise-i can put in another hard drive but dont want to have to reinstall allover again-i also have a problem with keeping my icons from the internet comcast in.exployer
