I have a eMac computer and I forgot my user name and psw. for the pass 6 - 7 mths I have been using a Dell computer and today I went back to my eMac. I have restore discs to restore my eMac computer but it's not allowing me to install the discs due to not knowing my user name and psw or administrative name / psw. My question is how can I reinstall my restore software discs without my name/psw in order to start using my eMac computer again. Is there a generic name/psw I can use for this process? Please Help

Optional Information:
OS: Mac OS X; Browser: IE

Already Tried:
I tried install the restore discs but the screen keeps asking me for my name/psw. In other words I can't get pass this in order to install the restore discs 1 and 2

Ok,

Could you put the first disk in the drive and Restart with the C key held down, Keep it held till it boots from the CD to the install menu.

At that point you should be able to select either an Archive and install or an Erase and install.

If you do not have any files you want you are better off performing an Erase and Install.

Let us know if that does not work.

Thanks
