I have a crash on my laptop, Windows pc, with adobe photoshop 3.2. It is stuck on the page that is the Photo Downloader page. I cannot find photos, close this page, or close Adober Photoshop 3.2. I also am not able to turn off my computer. I am writing on my Mac which is a desk computer.

Optional Information:
OS: Windows XP; Browser: IE

Already Tried:
I have tried to get out of Adobe Photoshop 3.2. It is a new program that I just started using. I don't even know where it came from. I tried to upload photos from my digital camera in Snapfish Picture Move. I don't know if that's why Adobe PS 3.2 showed up. I could not find my camera with Snapfish.com upload or the Snapfish picture mover. All of a sudden Adobe PS 3.2 opened and with clicking around, I got some jpegs to upload from my camera. This morning when I tried to upload again, the upload page got stuck. I cannot cancel or close the page. I cannot turn off my computer. It did restart but the Adobe PS 3.2 was still open on the desktop and could not be closed or canceled.

Hello, Customer (name blocked for privacy),

I'm beginning to think Adobe is going to have to go into the slot where Microsoft sits ... nasty practices, buggy software.

Anyway, yes, Adobe trial copies of Photoshop Album Starter will pop up when you try to upload pictures from your camera. Next time, close it and use your usual application for this. And from experience - I purchased the APAS software for the trial version - and the code they sent me doesn't work.

For now ... Use <Ctrl>+<Alt>+<Del> and click the <Task Manager> button, which will open a window with the Programs tab selected. This may take quite a lot of time, when RAM is tied up as yours is, click the listing for the Adobe, then click the <End Program> button. A second window may open stating the program is not responding - click <End Now>. Again, this may take some time, but it should close down the Adobe.

Once it's closed, don't just unplug your camera -- turn it off, then find its "drive" in My Computer and right-click on it and choose to eject the object. This closes software working with your camera.

Let me know your progress; there are alternatives if this doesn't work.

Reply to bytestream's Post: I got Adobe Photoshop 3.2 to close, which I will gladly pay the $9 for. I was enjoying using it because I could see how I could get jpegs from my camera to my desktop so I could send them as an attachment in my emails. If I continue to use ADBE PS 3.2, will I continue to get hung up?
