Using Adobe Acrobat 9. Combining a number of Word files into a combined PDF. All okay until I use footers to insert page numbers. Then, on all pages not completely filled with text, the text moves to a vertically centered position. On other pages, all of the text becomes horizontally centered. I selected both items on appearance options, but have tried without and the same thing occurs.

Optional Information:
OS: Windows XP; Browser: Firefox

Already Tried:
Everything I could think of. Sometimes I inserted a symbol at the bottom of the pages that were not filled with text. That did stop the text from centering vertically, but leaves a mark when printing. I have been unable to stop the text from centering horizontally when they text does not go from margin to margin.

I am referring to footnotes done after converting to pdf file.

I have to finish this before the end of the weekend, so I doubt that you will be able to help.

Thanks anyway.

I didn't think you'd be working through the weekend. The file is huge and is not MINE to share; I'm compiling for an organization so would prefer not to send.

The Word Documents were prepared by different individuals and almost all of them converted to PDF with no problems. However, on some documents the final page was only half filled with text. When I insert footers onto the pages, the text was then moved to the center (vertically) of the page. I am able to take care of them by inserting a symbol (such as a dash or a copyright symbol) at the bottom of each page. Then when a footer is added, the text remains in place. However, I know there should be a better way to do this.

A few of the documents have outlines and they do not stretch from margin to margin. Several of these pages (after adding the footers) had text moved to the center of the page (horizontally). I have been unable to fix that.

Thanks.
